Eco Innovators Project
The Eco Innovators Programme, spearheaded by Meg Wah (My Earth), provided a transformative platform for passionate and driven individuals to bring their innovative conservation ideas to life. Designed to empower young change-makers, this initiative equipped over 20 young people between the ages of 18 to 35 with essential skills in project writing, fundraising, and idea pitching.
The programme focused on identifying and supporting participants with game-changing ideas aimed at addressing biodiversity loss within the Mount Cameroon National Park. Through a structured selection process, applicants with the most promising and impactful ideas were invited to take part in the Eco Innovators Fair, where they showcased their innovative solutions.
Participants received practical training, mentorship, and guidance throughout the programme, enabling them to develop their ideas and confidently pitch their solutions to a panel of judges during the fair. The competition culminated with three winners emerging as the top innovators, each awarded prizes for their outstanding efforts and creativity. Additionally, participatory prizes were given to all participants, recognizing their dedication, hard work, and commitment to driving change.
The Eco Innovators Programme was more than just a competition—it was a celebration of youth leadership, innovation, and collaboration in the fight to conserve our planet’s biodiversity. By empowering these young individuals with skills and opportunities, Meg Wah (My Earth) continues to inspire solutions that have the power to transform communities and ecosystems.
Congratulations to all participants and winners! Together, we innovate for a sustainable future.
