The Meg Wah team was live on Hi Television Buea during the morning show “ELE ELE YA GBAMU” recently. It was a vibrant and engaging segment where we unpacked some of the most pressing environmental issues affecting our communities today from the growing impact of climate change to deforestation and urban flooding. Our team shared real stories from the field and explored how local action can bring about meaningful change, while urging viewers to reflect on their own role in protecting our planet.
We also highlighted the innovative work Meg Wah is doing to promote sustainability and environmental awareness in Cameroon and beyond. From tree planting in flood-prone areas to youth-led mapping with GIS tools, our mission remains clear: to see humans live and strive in harmony with nature. Viewers were particularly interested in our community-based approach and the way we center young people in the climate conversation.
A major highlight of the show was the announcement of our Eco Innovators Project, officially launching next month. This initiative is designed to empower youths aged 18–29 to take the lead in climate action and community innovation. We’re calling on all passionate, purpose-driven young people to get ready and join this transformative journey.
